our community

Our community not only encompasses our customers and producers but also charities and projects close to my heart. These include helping young adults from Sparsholt to get invaluable experience working outside and supporting a new business ensuring that “best before” dates do not equate to waste.

  • cameron bespolka trust

The Trust was set up in memory of Cameron. He loved nature. He photographed it, blogged about it, immersed himself in it. Birdwatching was a major part of his life. The Trust creates and sponsors outdoor events for young people from every background so they might discover that same passion for all things wild and natural. We sell gorgeous cards in aid of the Trust and support by making sure any spare change goes into their box!

  • Sparsholt College, Hampshire

Every other Tuesday a group of young adults from Sparsholt College’s Foundation department come to West Lea Farm Shop to help clear overgrown areas behind the shop. They are getting valuable experience of what it is like to work outdoors and enjoying themselves at the same time.

  • Avington park Farm Cottages

These gorgeous cottages can be rented separately or together. Whenever they are rented for a weekend or longer, you will be supplied by us with a cake made by Michelle and some local milk. If you do stay, we hope you will come and see us in the shop!

  • Little Yellow Label co

Food that is nearing or past its “best before” dates is often consigned to land fill but Claire works tirelessly with local businesses to rescue such food. She then sells these products, often at local car boot sales, at a much discounted rate, providing food at prices that may otherwise be unaffordable.
